Happy Wednesday! I’m so happy to link up with Teri from A Cupcake for the Teacher for her Summer Bucket List Linky.
Here are a few things I’d like to get accomplished this summer…
1) Have a successful reading summer camp.
I’m teaching a summer reading camp this summer for the first time and I’m so nervous. I’ll have 1st through 4th graders in week-long sessions. The director of the camp said that he doesn’t want the kids to feel like they are going to school each day. Soooo…..I’m trying to think of fun things for them to do that still practice literacy skills.
2) Create new products.
I’d really like to create a lot of products this summer for my TPT store. Even though I will be working most of the summer, I think that I will still have time to crank out some products. I’d like to get a jump start on holiday/seasonal products.
3) Get baby boy to sleep in his own room.
(Note: The above picture is not his room! I wish I had those decorative capabilities!)So my baby has been sleeping in our room since he was born. Now that he is on his way to one year, I think it’s long overdue for him to start sleeping in his own room. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I wanted to try to get him to start sleeping in his bed. I counted on being able to sleep in and stay up late, but now that I’m working it will make it a bit harder!
4) Get a good plan for reading and math groups and centers.
So, each year I create my math and reading centers of course. But I haven’t been able to really perfect it. It seems like each year, I’m getting closer to making them exactly how I want them but I always try to do too much. Simplicity is best, right? So, this summer I really want a clear, concise plan for my centers and groups.
5) Go on a trip…SOMEWHERE!
Ideally, I’d love to be on a beach somewhere but realistically, that will not happen unless my husband brings me to Texas or something because Louisiana does not have pretty beaches (if you want to even call them beaches! lol). I really just want to get out of town and have some time with my hubby!
6) Lose the rest of my baby weight and reach my target weight goal.
I dislike this machine with a passion, but it has been successfully helping me lose my baby fluff! You moms know that you add a little extra “love” when you are carrying your bundle of joy, and it is sometimes hard to get that love off. My goal is to at least be my pre-pregnancy weight by the time my baby turns 1. I have about 10 pounds to go. Ultimately, I’d like to lose about 30 pounds total, but we’ll see how it goes. I’ve been using My Fitness Pal to help me along the way.
Before I go, I’d like to encourage all my teacher blogger friends to submit their names for the teacher blogger spotlight! Click the graphic above or click the page at the top to fill out the form. Have a great evening!
+Sincerely, MrsMc
