Life is pretty busy these days! I just welcomed a new baby into the world and that has been keeping me busy. I definitely do not want to neglect my blog so I decided to just take a break. While I’m taking a break, I’ve decided to do a giveaway. I’m calling it my Away Giveaway. It fits, right?

  1. Everyone always says "sleep when the baby sleeps" and I agree, but if you are like me, you will use that time to get things done. So my advice is have your husband sleep in one weekend day and you get to sleep in the other weekend day. My son is 16 months old and we have done this since he was born. It gives you one day to catch up on sleep you will desperately need. :) Also, enjoy every minute, even the tough ones. You will miss them ALL when they are over.

  2. My baby is a six pound minpin, so I don't have anything too amazing. However, I do love love love the parents who read with their kids and are kindly consistent. Those are my favorite types of parents to work with!

  9. Congrats! My advice is to take all advice with a grain of salt. Everyone thinks they're the expert. Listen, but in the end, follow your gut and pray A LOT! Enjoy every minute. It seems like you blink and the kids are in school. It's amazing how much your life will/already has changed and you'll never be able to remember what life was like bk (before kids)

  12. Do what you feel is best for your child. After all, you are the mother, and mother knows best!

  13. Congratulations on your bundle of joy! Enjoy your journey with your baby. Take time to enjoy the little things, take naps so you'll feel refreshed- there's nothing like you sleeping and waking with your baby. Take lots of pictures- they grow way too fast. REST, REST, REST everything will still be there when you get up. Your baby will need you to be well rested and ready to go. Take care of yourself so you can take care of your baby.

  15. As the mother of three grown daughters and ten grandchildren I can agree with many of the suggestions from previous comments. However, there will be challenges ahead so always keep the following verse in mind. Proverbs 22:6 says to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." During those trying times I relied on God's promise found here. True to His promise, He saw us through those times and today all three of my daughters are Godly women, serving God and relying on this promise as they raise their children. God Bless and enjoy that precious little one!

  16. Congrats on your new little one!!! Enjoy this time... I am not a parent, but the teacher in me (and you too I'm sure) always tells new parents to read, read, read with their child. Those are some of my best memories - reading Trixie Belden books with my mom and snuggling in the big chair with my dad while he read to me. :)
