Anniversary Unlock the Prize Giveaway

Greetings everyone! I am SO VERY EXCITED because I am celebrating two years of blogging and creating items on Teachers Pay Teachers. When I started blogging, I was unsure of what to write and I didn’t think anyone would be interested in what I had to say. Now, I enjoy sharing my teaching experience no matter who reads it (but I do appreciate when they do!)

I started Teachers Pay Teachers because I had been creating things for my classroom and figured that I could share my creations with other teachers. I never could have imagined how much it would help me financially. Teachers do a lot of work with little pay, so the extra I have made has really helped my family.
With both my blog and TPT store, I have slowly but surely gained followers. Early on, I admit that I was jealous of others who seemed to gain followers and sell products so easily. Soon, I learned that it was about quantity, but quality. Also, I was reminded that the race isn’t given to the swift, but to the one that endures to the end.

I’d like to think that I’m still enduring!

So what am I anticipating in my third year? Well, let’s see…a new blog design with a slight name change, more blogging, more products, and possibly…VLOGGING (ooh-la-la)! So make sure you stay tuned! Last thing! I really want to thank all of the wonderful ones that follow me here and everywhere else that I am. I truly appreciate it!

Moving right along! To celebrate my anniversary, I just had to throw a giveaway. I call it my Anniversary Unlock the Prize Giveaway.

New Things!

Okay, so today’s post is not educational at all! Just wanted to give a little bit of an update. You may (or may not, lol) have noticed some changes if you follow me at my store or other social media networks. I’ve changed my name…well, not really. I’ve changed my name to match the name my momma gave me! So, it’s still MrsMc here, but I just decided to use my full name at my TPT store and everywhere else has Mrs. McClain (that’s what the Mc stood for, just in case you didn’t know :-)

Additionally, I created a Facebook page, I’m on Twitter, and I’m on Instagram. I would L-O-V-E if you would show me some love on all of those places so that you can stay updated with everything.
Lastly, I’m getting so excited as I’m preparing for my awesome giveaway. It’s a unique giveaway and I’m hoping it will be very successful. I have great TPT designers on board, and I’ve also found some AWESOME Etsy designers who will be giving away great things as well. Make sure you stop by next week for all of the fun to begin.
Oh yea, one more thing. I’M GETTING A FACELIFT!

No, not that kind! I’m finally (after what? two years!) getting a new blog design. I’ve been working with the amazing Laura at Sophie & Rory, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.
Bye guys!
Like my new Facebook page, Follow me on Twitter, Follow me on Instagram!

Freebie Friday/Giveaway Winners

Good Friday everyone! It’s been rainy in my neck of the woods today, so I have enjoyed a nice day of staying in my bed. The rain always does that to me!

I’m participating in TBA’s Freebie Friday and I’m featuring my newest product, Classmate Name Bingo.

It is another installment in my Bingo Games. This one allows your students to play Bingo with each other’s names. I thought that this would be a good game for the first days of school as your students get to know each other.
name3
You or your students will need to write the names onto the Bingo cards to play. The game includes a blank bingo card, card pieces, call-out sheets for teachers, and counters.

Welcome Back/Giveaway/Summer Bucket List Review

Greetings friends, it’s been FAR too long! However, I have been enjoying my summer. I am very, very, VERY relaxed (can you tell by the words I’m using? lol). So, I’m still alive, just taking a break from blogging for a little while. I’m back to the action now!

Thanks for sticking with me through my hiatus. To show my appreciation, I’m having a small giveaway. Keep reading for more detail below. July is also my blog and TPT store anniversaries, so check back in the next few days for a small, but exciting celebration.
Before I give details on my small giveaway, I’d like to review my summer bucket list from this post. These were things I wanted to get accomplished during the summer.
1. READING CAMP: This was a total bust! There was some miscommunication with the camp director and myself, so the camp did not happen. boo-hoo (insert sad face). Next summer I plan to try my hand at another summer camp at the university that I graduated from.
2. CREATE NEW PRODUCTS: Umm…kinda! I need to do better y’all!
3. GET BABY TO SLEEP IN HIS ROOM: SUCCESS! He (we) got a late start, but he is finally in his own room. I still check to see if he’s breathing (moms you know about that).
4. GET A PLAN FOR GROUPING: Still working on it…
5. GO ON A TRIP: Still working on it…lol
6. LOSE THE BABY WEIGHT: I can fit my pre-pregnancy jeans so I am a happy lady! I still have a few more pounds to lose…don’t we all?
So, I still have a few things to work on regarding my bucket list before the summer is over! We return to school next month, but I am really enjoying my summer.
Now, to the giveaway! I plan to give away a product that is one of the top selling items in my store, First Day Frenzy.
frenzy1
First Day Frenzy is a collection of activities and such that teachers and students need for the first days of school. I’m giving away 5 (five) of these bad boys to my friends as a way to say thanks for sticking around while I’ve been away. The only requirement for entering is to leave a comment. Tell me what you’ve been busy doing this summer!

I’m using Rafflecopter for this giveaway. Your first entry must be a comment on this post. If you’d like to enter again, come back and visit Sunday through Tuesday and choose the second option on the Rafflecopter tool (It says “enter on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday”).
Make sure to use a vaild email when you enter. There is one entry allowed per person per day (you only have to leave one comment, but you can only enter once each day; so there is a possibility of 4 entries per person).

My Summer Bucket List

Happy Wednesday! I’m so happy to link up with Teri from A Cupcake for the Teacher for her Summer Bucket List Linky.

Here are a few things I’d like to get accomplished this summer…

1) Have a successful reading summer camp.

I’m teaching a summer reading camp this summer for the first time and I’m so nervous. I’ll have 1st through 4th graders in week-long sessions. The director of the camp said that he doesn’t want the kids to feel like they are going to school each day. Soooo…..I’m trying to think of fun things for them to do that still practice literacy skills.

2) Create new products.

I’d really like to create a lot of products this summer for my TPT store. Even though I will be working most of the summer, I think that I will still have time to crank out some products. I’d like to get a jump start on holiday/seasonal products.

3) Get baby boy to sleep in his own room.

(Note: The above picture is not his room! I wish I had those decorative capabilities!)So my baby has been sleeping in our room since he was born. Now that he is on his way to one year, I think it’s long overdue for him to start sleeping in his own room. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I wanted to try to get him to start sleeping in his bed. I counted on being able to sleep in and stay up late, but now that I’m working it will make it a bit harder!

4) Get a good plan for reading and math groups and centers.

So, each year I create my math and reading centers of course. But I haven’t been able to really perfect it. It seems like each year, I’m getting closer to making them exactly how I want them but I always try to do too much. Simplicity is best, right? So, this summer I really want a clear, concise plan for my centers and groups.

5) Go on a trip…SOMEWHERE!

Ideally, I’d love to be on a beach somewhere but realistically, that will not happen unless my husband brings me to Texas or something because Louisiana does not have pretty beaches (if you want to even call them beaches! lol). I really just want to get out of town and have some time with my hubby!

6) Lose the rest of my baby weight and reach my target weight goal.

I dislike this machine with a passion, but it has been successfully helping me lose my baby fluff! You moms know that you add a little extra “love” when you are carrying your bundle of joy, and it is sometimes hard to get that love off. My goal is to at least be my pre-pregnancy weight by the time my baby turns 1. I have about 10 pounds to go. Ultimately, I’d like to lose about 30 pounds total, but we’ll see how it goes. I’ve been using My Fitness Pal to help me along the way.
